Create an at Home Spa for Valentine's Day

Baby, it’s cold outside. Why freeze in the name of love? Stay in and get cozy with an at home spa. Whether you’re single or enjoying the day with bae, a DIY spa lets you take all the time you want, and have it your way without worrying about checking in or out.

  1. Set the mood with a playlist. No generic ‘spa music’ up in here - create your own self-love soundtrack.

  2. Show yourself some love with a luxurious bath soak. One of our all time favorites is Next of Kim Beauty Bath Detox with Bergamot Rose. Re-mineralize your skin and feel renewed with this delicious blend of essential oils, including bergamot and rose to soften and hydrate your bawdy. Or make your own bath delight with pink himalayan sea salt and the essential of your choice. Lavender, eucalyptus, lemon and ylang-ylang are great choices.

  3. Before your bath, try dry brushing from head to toe, to shed dry skin and come out of the tub feeling silky smooth.

  4. Set the mood with candles. Whether you want to feel inspired, energized, sexy or subdued, scented candles can bring all the feels, with everything from florals to deep, musky scents, and that soft light that makes everything look alright. Surrounding the tub with unscented, white candles is a whole mood too, especially if it’s you + one.

  5. Dry, cracked heels? Get them baby soft with this homemade recipe from DoctorOz.com. Combine ¼ cup brown sugar, two tablespoons coconut oil, two tablespoons honey and three drops of peppermint essential oil. Massage the scrub into your feet using firm strokes. Rinse with warm water. Dry feet completely with towel. Save any remaining scrub in a lidded container and use within one month.

  6. Glow all the way up with a DIY facial. Start with a cleanser, exfoliate with a simple sugar face scrub: 1 tsp of organic cane sugar + 2 drops of water, apply in small, circular motions, rinse and apply a mask according to your skin type - hydrating for dry skin, or a clay mask for oily skin. A great DIY mask is a ripe, mashed banana, leave on for 10 minutes then rinse with warm water and apply moisturizer.

  7. Moisturize from head to toe with a hydrating body oil - sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, or jojoba oil will have your whole body saying, yassss.
